RESOURCES DECLINED
Aid to Africa fell by 4%, while aid to lower-middle income and upper-middle income countries, fell by 11% and 19% in real terms. SA is seen as a middle income country.
SHIFTING PRIORITIES
COVID-19 pandemic, nationalisation, patriotism, trade wars, restrictive policies, distrust, conflicting and competing focus areas have an impact on resource availability, allocation and distribution.
Support funders to design and implement philanthropic strategies that are driven by shared value.
Evaluation and testing of funder strategies to ensure strategic and sustainability alignment.
Facilitating conversations between funders and NPOs to build mutually beneficial and impactful partnerships.
A 3 month programme that supports NPOs to get the fundraising basics in place.
Engaging international, national, and corporate funders on a regular basis to learn about and influence their strategies and focus.
Supporting funders and NPOs to build the skills and resources of the sector to be sustainable.
